Plein Air
Louisville Art Association Plein Air group known as the Plein Janes and Joes, is a fun gathering of artists that enjoy painting nature on location. Our paint outs are mainly in Boulder County and our painting season is from May through October. We paint on Wednesdays from 9-12. Paint outs are announced monthly via email. There is no instruction or critique. You are encouraged to come and go according to your own needs.
We try to paint a variety of sites, examples are Mountains, trails, buildings, flowers, and urban scenes. That may include Coal Creek Trail, South Mesa Trail, Downtown Louisville, a private yard etc.

As always, you need to determine if weather conditions are suitable for you to paint. We won’t usually announce any cancellations on account of the weather, though we may formally cancel if it’s a major weather event. We will paint from 9:00-12:00 unless otherwise specified, but you are encouraged to come and go according to your own needs. We try to have a variety of locations, hopefully with shade/restrooms.
